Hey, I'm Sophie
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent. An expat living in Paris, France.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of my life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn't in the long-range plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, new routines, elevated expectations. Daily tasks seemed more tangled than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found spots that fit us, connected with other families, and began to create something that felt steady.
Why I Built LorVexNimarTel
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in France.
What This Site Represents (And What It Doesn't)
This site is:
- Practical insights from living in France
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- A tourism board resource
- Sponsored review site
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in France continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Sophie
